Our Story

Christian Garceau founded A Social Affair Event Management Inc. in 2016. With 16 years experience in executive and VIP service, Christian’s career has brought him from ultimate-luxury retailer Holt Renfrew to launching VIP service at Shopify, the world’s leading commerce platform. Christian has worked with luminary personalities in fashion, television, music, arts and science throughout North America. His event planning experiences include hosting professional seminars, private events, educational seminars and AGMs for national non-profits.
Christian has contributed to events as diverse as New York Fashion Week and National Biotechnology Week. He is a graduate of the 3-year Advanced Advertising and Integrated Marketing Communications program at Algonquin College as well as a recipient of QC Event School’s Event and Wedding Planning certificate. He is a certified International Event and Wedding Professional™ and a member of the Canadian Society of Professional Event Planners.
